Qualified Investor Definition

Under the European Union’s MiFID II (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II), a "Qualified Investor" (often referred to as an "Accredited Investor") is defined as an entity or individual who meets at least one of the following criteria:

Professional Clients:
Entities that are authorized or regulated to operate in financial markets.

Large Enterprises:
